Speed Test
Jio and Airtel have launched their respective 5G services that are available in the top tier cities for now. Both the operators have taken a different approach with their 5G services. Jio has a focused strategy on offering good speeds in density, while Airtel has picked up the 5G spectrum in equal doses . According to a report by Ookla, Jio 5G managed to touch download speeds of 600Mbps in a test conducted in Delhi. Airtel 5G, on the other hand, provided a peak speed of 516Mbps in Varanasi .
5G Plans Jio Airtel
Reliance Jio will make its Jio 5G Plan available for its users with a starting price of INR 239 with unlimited 5G data and up to 1Gbps network speed. On the other hand, Airtel 5G will be available at the same price as their 4G plans.
Jio 5G Welcome Offer
Telecom giant Jio has announced the Jio True 5G Welcome Offer, where users can avail of unlimited 5G data with up to 1Gbps+ speeds. But, the Jio 5G Welcome Offer is only valid for select users in select cities (via Invitation). The Jio 5G Welcome benefit is available for beta trial users who have received an invitation to experience Jio True 5G.

The country’s largest telecom company Reliance Jio has launched the biggest 5G service by any company so far. The company says that the users of the Jio 5G Launched cities will be invited for the ‘Jio Welcome Offer’. Reliance Jio is trying to deploy its 5G network across India by December 2023. Launched in October 2022, Jio True 5G has reached around 230 cities across India within 4 months of launch.
